Occupational Hazard: Nibbling Goats Threaten Audio Cabling
Sustainable San Mateo County is a fantastic group, which publishes a groundbreaking annual report on environmental indicators affecting the region that has become a well-respected tool for city governments, planners, and citizens. Each year, Ruth Peterson and Executive Director Tyler Hammer and their team of volunteers also throw a gala event where businesses and individuals promoting Environmental, Economic and socially Equitable sustainability in the County are recognized with the Sustainable San Mateo County Award. Since 2005 we've been the lucky ones who get to go out and meet these amazing people and create short profiles to be shown at this wonderful celebration.

SSMC shoots are often an experience and I'm sure we'll be revisiting this project often in the blog--but on the top of my mind at the moment is my December visit to beautiful Harley Farms, an historic sustainable goat dairy in rural Pescadero right on the stunning San Mateo Coast.

Two goat babies were very curious about the guests on the tour I videotaped....and they found my audio cables especially interesting!

If you ever get the chance, make a reservation to take a tour of Harley Farms. You MUST NOT MISS getting some of their goat-milk chocolate. It is absolutely extraordinary--not BAAAAAAAAAAAD at all!!!!! (couldn't resist)
